Staying Busy May Be what You Need
Well, it started... Soccer. Three of my kids are playing soccer, which means most nights of the week, we are at the soccer fields. But there is more (dun dun dun!). I am coaching a team; also, they needed coaches, so I volunteered, and it felt exactly like the Hunger Games. So most nights of the week, we are busy running from work to the fields, and Saturdays are crazy!
STAY ROOTED IN THE RIGHT THINGS
But through this, I realized something important. Staying busy may be what you need. I think we as a family needed this to end most nights together moving around. Getting out of the past routine and getting away from the T.V. This may be precisely what we need. But let me explain, you have to deal with it and approach it with the right mindset.
"That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers." - Psalm 1:3
Stay busy but with the best things. Family time, reading time, prayer time, Bible time, and 'you time.' But I also want to encourage you that when you are busy and the things that are occupying your time are not the best, continue reading and living out Psalm 1:3. Stay rooted in the right things.
How can you stay busy in the best ways? What do you need to add to your schedule?
