GROW UP

Do you know someone that needs to grow up? Have they been living like a teenager even though they are in their thirties? Maybe it was you? You can look back on a time in your life where you weren't maturing, but finally, something got a hold of you, and you grew up. I had a time like that; before I met my awesome wife Jeanny, I was young and dumb, not really doing much with my life and just hanging out with friends doing some things I would not be proud of today. You likely have a similar story. But the most important thing is not regretting my past but seeing that I grew through it and past it.

Okay, so we agree on growing up... Now let me ask you. Do you need to grow up spiritually? Are you no stronger in your faith or knowledgeable about God than when you first accepted Jesus? Are you still wanting to hear only feel-good messages from the Bible and not have to wrestle with other parts of Scripture? Are you growing up Spiritually?

BABY CHRISTIANS ARE ONLY CUTE FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS BUT 10 YEAR OLD BABY CHRISTIANS ARE NOT CUTE

Scripture speaks about this. Some churches are reprimanded when one Apostle visits and sees that so many Christians have not grown spiritually. He says, why are you still drinking milk? You should be eating meat by now. Other Scriptures say...

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." - 2 Peter 3:18

"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." - Colossians 1:9-10

It is not only necessary; you must see the importance of growing spiritually. And let me break one of your possible excuses; you do not need a degree to grow spiritually. You need to desire it and go for it. Read your Bible (even when you don't understand it). Pray (even when you don't know what to say. The best way to move forward, this Scripture...

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." - Matthew 5:6

What are you going to do to begin growing in your faith?
